ABOUT US
Nepean Hockey School, based out of Barrhaven, Ontario, is a drop-in, skill-based hockey school, offering children valuable opportunities to learn and refine skating, puck handling, and defensive skills. Nepean Hockey School started in August 2017 and has grown from a small group of local families looking for extra ice time and skill training to a program! Through Nepean Hockey School, children will experience small area game situations, and will build their hockey skill set, in a positive, encouraging environment. Our Hockey Canada/HEO qualified coaching staff are committed to ensuring players both learn and enjoy his/her experience. Nepean Hockey School is protected by iPlayHockey Insurance Company.
Our Core Beliefs: At Nepean Hockey School we genuinely believe in the importance of physical activity and its benefits for physical, mental, and emotional health. We are proud to have offered thousands of hours of youth activity over the years. NHS is accessible to players of varying ages and skill levels. We aim to challenge, support, and develop players’ skills, abilities, and confidence on the ice.

James has over 25 years of coaching experience. He has Hockey Canada’s Coaching Levels One and Two, Skating I and a B.Sc in Human Kinetics and Bachelor of Education. You can reach him at [email protected]

OPERATIONS
Tara-Lynn continues to lead the organization of session bookings, logistics, and session confirmations. She works closely with James and the coaching staff to ensure sessions are effective, engaging and organized. You can reach her at [email protected]
INSTRUCTORS:
A drop-in program relies on drop-in instructors and we do our best to have the strongest, most qualified instructors to ensure player development and safety. You will see a variety of instructors at our sessions but our current Team includes:
