FAQs

We have children as young as 6 years old on the ice. Every young child reacts differently to full-ice practices with players of different ages.

Power Edge + Stickhandling and Power Edge + Shoot to Score are good sessions to start with. Most drills are independent and allow players to develop at their level.

Absolutely. We are committed to offering sessions for all genders. We deliberately hire and support female and male instructors. We are committed to having instructors and ambassadors that can act as role models and teachers for all of our skaters.

Scrimmages are capped at 11 players + a goalie/team and skill sessions are limited to “two hockey teams” however we use a lower internal number.

It’s not a guarantee as illnesses and conflicts arise, we but we aim for 3-4+ instructors at every session.

Generally we run two lines, a younger line and an older/competitive line to ensure the lines are well balanced and that all players have access to development, safety and fun!

The on ice instructors try their best to match the skill level of each of the lines. Occasionally this means that one line has more players than the other.

The on ice instructors facilitate an even scrimmage, with even offensive and defensive time for both teams. Occasionally this means instructors acting as support players to keep help balance the game.

Players can fill out an application to complete their community service hours. We are happy to support and encourage young people to volunteer, gain leadership skills and give back to the hockey community. The Volunteer Form can be found here
